About the Founder

Dr. Edwin M. Gangemi

Jersey Rehab, P.A. was founded in 1993 by Dr. Edwin M. Gangemi, a board certified physiatrist. Jersey Rehab P.A. provides comprehensive rehabilitation services for neuromusculo-skeletal disorders.

We are a multi-specialty group of board certified physicians, physical therapists, sports trainers and in-house care personnel with expertise in musculo-skeletal sports medicine suited for health care needs in the year 2000 and beyond.

Dr. Gangemi has a long family history of caring for patients, as his father was a physician in the Newark location for some 35 years.

He is a graduate of Rutgers University, New York Medical College and Kessler Institute of Rehabilitation/University of Medicine and Dentistry residency training program of New Jersey.

His specialty is physical medicine and rehabilitation.

He has expertise in alternative medicine, including spinal manipulation and acupuncture... talents passed on from his father.

Dr. Gangemi has directed inpatient rehab units and currently enjoys working in what he considers his expertise: outpatient physical medicine and rehabilitation.

His methods are innovative and comprehensive.

He is well known and respected in the medical, academic and local community.

Dr. Gangemi serves as the Director of the Worker's Compensation Program for Magnacare, the largest preferred provider organization in the Northeast.

He was instrumental in designing a care map and treatment protocol policies and procedures, for patients which provides injured workers with patient educational programs as well as post return-to-work protocols.

Dr. Gangemi treats a vast array of nueromusculo-skeletal injuries, strokes, amputations, neck and low back injuries, predated injuries including carpal tunnel syndrome extending to post operative joint rehabilitation.
